Description
Trotting along the lanes of Malton, Yorkshire on her mount, 15 year old Julie Cook generally causes quite stir - for she is mounted, not on a horse, but on a llama! Julie’s farther bought Liberty, the llama for £150 from the nearby Flamingo Park Zoo as a pet - and promised him to Julie if she could break him in. She has now been riding, or trying to ride him for a year she has at last succeeded in teaching him to be obedient - though he does have ax mind of his own, and likes to go his own was occasionally. Julie’s whole life’s devoted to animals - and each year her father Mr. Gordon Cook, gives her one as a present. The Cook families, who live in Kirby Misperton, now have quite a collection - including two ponies, eight dogs and a bear. OPS: 15 year old Julie makes her way down the road to the village of Kirby Misperton on Liberty, her llama.
