In early August ROLLO GEBHARD (45) will start for his sailing trip around the world from St Margherita, Itay. The German actor and record dealer from Garmisch, Bavaria caused quite some excitement three years ago when he crossed the Atlantic in a record 30 days via his “NUSSCHALE”. Now he plans to sai on SOLVEIG III, lengh 7.25 meters, width 2.30 meters sails 25 square meters, Condor-type glass -fiber boat. His itinerary: St. Margherita-Balearic Island. - Gibraltar-Madeira-Canary Island. -Caribbean-Panama-Tahiti-New Zealand - New Guinea South Africa- st. Helena- Europe. He will need three years and will sail all by himself and plans to lecture and show his films in many ports of call.
