Tsewang C. Tethong (TSEWANG C. TETHONG) is the only Tibetian living in Germany, "but, in any case, he i3 the first Tibetian student studying history, political science and philosophy at the University of Tubingen U(TUBINGEN/West-Germany). The 25-year-old Tibetian spent his child-hood in Lhasa, and when he was 11 years old, he joined the college in Darjeeling/India. Through a "Tibetian-German friendship scholarship" which was offered to the Dalai Lama, the English-interpreter of the Dalai Lama Tethong came to Germany.
