Australia has refused a demand from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to return the Song Be 12 boat, and what it described as all to “pirates” aboard. Many small boats with Vietnamese refugees have sailed into Darwin since the Saigon regime fell 2 years ago, the number so far in 742. PHOTO SHOWS:- The “Song Be 12” arriving in Darwin Harbour carrying some of the refuges.
