Cookery, home management, and beauty oulture - they are all on the agenda of the Squires Youth Club in the tough Elephant and Castle Ares of Lon on. And the keenest students of this subject are - the boys. Only o few years ago, teenage boys would have laughed at the lies of learning the Social races - but gradually they have 'taken cver’ these classes which were originally intended for the girl. The Ares was once notorious for the teenage gangs roaming the streets - but now many of the toys are real sing the portance of becoming socially acceptable la - and in becoming acceptable to others, they become acceptable to themselves - this the tendency to crime, and drug Addiction is reduced. Boys and girls of the Squires Youth club watch as visiting beautician Christine Shaw demonstrates, beauty culture with l8 year old Vince Stapleton.
